02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
06 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

→ Cheesecake Layer

09 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
10 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
11 - 1 large egg
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Blackberry Swirl

13 - 1/4 cup blackberry preserves
14 - Fresh blackberries for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until well blended. Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
03 - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
04 - In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/4 cup of sugar, egg, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
05 - Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in dollops, then use a butter knife to gently swirl the two together.
06 - Warm the blackberry preserves slightly in the microwave, then drizzle it over the cheesecake layer. Use the knife to swirl the preserves into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
08 - Garnish with fresh blackberries if desired.
