Crispy Beef Cheese Chimichangas (Print Version)

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1/2 small onion, diced
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 tsp chili powder
05 - 1/2 tsp cumin
06 - Salt and pepper, to taste
07 - 1/2 cup salsa or enchilada sauce
08 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
09 - 6 large flour tortillas

10 - Oil, for frying or brushing if baking or air frying

# Instructions:

01 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and salsa. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
02 - Spoon beef mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly like a burrito.
03 - Pan-fry: Heat oil in a skillet and fry chimichangas seam-side down until golden on all sides. Bake: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F), brush with oil, and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until crisp. Air fry: Brush with oil and air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
04 - Top with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or your favorite toppings.
