In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and salsa. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.

Spoon beef mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly like a burrito.

Pan-fry: Heat oil in a skillet and fry chimichangas seam-side down until golden on all sides. Bake: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F), brush with oil, and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until crisp. Air fry: Brush with oil and air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
