01 -
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 23x33 cm (9×13 inch) baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
02 -
Cut the Hawaiian sweet rolls into 2.5 cm (1-inch) cubes and spread them evenly in the baking dish.
03 -
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
04 -
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the cubed rolls. Use a spatula to gently press down on the rolls, ensuring they soak up the liquid. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
05 -
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and brown sugar. Drizzle this mixture over the soaked rolls.
06 -
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. If the top browns too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil.
07 -
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup.
