Healthy Banana Bread Loaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 4 bananas, about 1 ⅓ cups, mashed
02 - 1 large egg
03 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
04 - 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
05 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or substitute applesauce)

→ Dry Ingredients

07 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (white or white-whole wheat)
08 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
09 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
10 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Grease a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - Mash bananas in a mixing bowl. Add the egg, vanilla extract, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Stir well to combine.
03 - In a separate small bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
04 - Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Gently stir until fully combined. Then fold in the melted butter or applesauce.
05 - Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
06 - Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes. Then invert onto a wire cooling rack and let it cool completely before slicing.

# Notes:

01 - Using ripe bananas enhances the natural sweetness of the bread, reducing the need for additional sugar.
