01 -
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Optionally, line the pan with parchment paper for easier removal.
02 -
In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth with a few small lumps. This enhances moisture and flavor.
03 -
Add melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until fully combined and slightly creamy.
04 -
In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry mix into the wet mix, avoiding overmixing.
05 -
Reserve a small handful of chocolate chips for topping (optional) and fold the rest into the batter gently for even distribution.
06 -
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (chocolate streaks are fine).
07 -
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.
