One-Pan Tomato Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3 tablespoons butter
02 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 2 cups chicken stock or bone broth
04 - 1/2 cup half and half or whole milk, room temperature
05 - 1-8 oz jar sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained
06 - 8 oz angel hair pasta
07 - 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
08 - 2 tablespoons softened cream cheese (optional)

→ Seasonings

09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
11 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
02 - Pour in the chicken stock, sun-dried tomatoes, and seasonings. Slowly pour in the half and half, then bring to a gentle boil.
03 - Add the pasta into the skillet, allowing it to sit for 30 seconds until it softens enough to be submerged without breaking. Let it cook submerged in simmering liquid for about 5 minutes.
04 - Reduce the heat to a simmer and, if using, add the cream cheese. Stir until it melts into the sauce.
05 - Sprinkle over the parmesan cheese and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Add a splash of chicken stock or half and half if needed to maintain a saucy consistency.
