Sweet Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Steak

01 - 1 lb sirloin steak, cubed
02 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
03 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)

→ Sauce

06 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce
08 - 2 tablespoons honey
09 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
10 - 2 tablespoons sriracha
11 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
12 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
13 - 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
14 - 2 tablespoons water

→ Pasta

15 - 8 oz spaghetti
16 - Salt for boiling water
17 - 2 tablespoons butter

→ Garnishes

18 - Sesame seeds, toasted
19 - Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped
20 - Extra red pepper flakes, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Bring salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, drain pasta, and toss with butter.
02 - Pat steak dry, season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce (plus cornstarch if using).
03 - Heat olive oil in a large pan and sear steak cubes over high heat until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from pan.
04 - In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sriracha, vinegar, sesame oil, crushed red pepper, and water. Simmer to thicken.
05 - Toss pasta into the sauce, loosening with reserved pasta water as needed. Add the steak back to the pan and stir to coat.
06 - Sprinkle with sesame seeds, parsley or green onions, and additional red pepper if desired.
07 - Plate and enjoy your sweet, spicy, and savory dish.
