Boil a large pot of salted water for the pasta. Cook until al dente as per package instructions.

Season the salmon lightly with salt and pepper, then coat it in flour.

Add olive oil and butter to a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon for 2 minutes on each side, then set aside.

Reduce the heat to medium. Add sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and Dijon mustard to the skillet. Stir constantly and cook for 30 seconds.

Add cream, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Stir until the sauce is smooth.

Return the salmon to the skillet. Break it into pieces using a spoon and cook for a few minutes until done. Add fresh basil during the last 2 minutes if using.

Drain the pasta and toss it with the sauce. Serve with freshly grated parmesan if desired.
