Parmesan Chopped Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 to 2 hearts of romaine lettuce
02 - 2 shallots, thinly sliced
03 - Zest and juice of 2 lemons
04 - 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
05 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper flakes, optional
08 - 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the romaine lettuce with a sharp knife. Rinse and drain thoroughly with a salad spinner or pat dry using a clean towel.
02 - Place the chopped lettuce, shallots, parmesan cheese, and lemon zest into a large salad bowl. In a separate jar, mix kosher salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
