# Ingredients:

01 - 1 egg, separated
02 - 75g plain flour
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 1 tablespoon caster sugar
05 - 100ml milk

→ Burger Components

06 - 250g 15%-fat beef mince
07 - 2 slices American cheese or mild cheddar
08 - 30ml burger sauce
09 - 40g sliced gherkins
10 - 1 tablespoon neutral-tasting oil

# Instructions:

01 - Using an electric whisk, beat the egg white until soft, fluffy peaks form.
02 - In a separate bowl, combine the egg yolk with the plain flour, baking powder, and caster sugar. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking to achieve a smooth consistency. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
03 - Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour in 1/4 of the batter, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Repeat to make a total of four pancakes, keeping them warm in an oven.
04 - Increase the heat and add more oil to the pan. Divide the beef mince into two equal portions. Press one portion flat in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Flip the patty, add cheese on top, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
05 - Place a pancake as the base, top with a cheesy beef patty, drizzle with burger sauce, layer sliced gherkins, and finish with another pancake. Repeat for the second burger.
